question about gerber vitamin drops?

A friend of mine told me that in order to save formula, when making my babies cereal to mix it with water and juice in equal parts and add 1 dose of vitamin drops. She said mixing cereal with formula is the best nutrition wise but in order to save formula (we are both on WIC) to make cereal that way because the vitamin drops give the baby all the nutrients they miss out on from not using formula. Is this true?

also i noticed since i have giving my baby the vitamin drops, he has black poopy and it isnt as loose as it used to be. Is this normal?

ok 7 to 9 ummm gerber vitamin drops are for infants duh thats why gerber- a baby company- makes them.u give gerber vitamin drops to babies not not gerbils. ask any of the moms here. dumbass. u are obviously not a parent and if u are u are poorly misinformed.

yeah the poop thing is normal it’s from the added iron in the drops. It’s fine and even great that you are giving vitamin drops, studies have shown kids aren’t getting enough Vitamin D as is. Mixing is with cereal helps with the taste.
However, don’t mix with juice, the amount of Vitamin C found in juice isn’t enough to make up for the amount of sugar in it. if you want to save on formula mix with water and then add some baby food stage one.
